RuPaul adds an eleventh Emmy nomination to record-setting run

RuPaul Charles has picked up an 11th Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program, extending the record she set last year for the most nominations in the category.

Last year, the RuPaul's Drag Race host became the all-time leader with 10 nominations. This year’s nod pushes that total higher and keeps her at the top of the category’s history.

RuPaul has lost the award in each of the past two years to The Traitors host Alan Cumming. The two are set to face off again at this year’s ceremony.

The rest of the nominees are Jeff Probst of Survivor, Kristen Kish of Top Chef and Ariana Madix of Love Island USA. All of the nominees except Probst are members of the LGBTQ+ community.

RuPaul also holds the record for the most consecutive nominations in the category.

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards also brought a strong showing for season 18 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Along with its companion series RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked, the franchise received 11 nominations in total.
